The Mississippi River Trail (MRT) in the Quad Cities Region passes through numerous riverfront communities and countryside; the terrain is flat and surface is asphalt and concrete. Sweeping riverfront vistas are abundant all along the trail.

Located on the west, or downstream, side of the new I-74 Bridge, the bike and pedestrian path provides an unparalleled panorama of the Mississippi River and Arsenal Island 80 feet above the water.

Bike or walk on a designated route from downtown Geneseo to Lodge Community Park. A connection across the Hennepin Canal to the Parkway Trail is planned.

Saulsbury Bridge Recreation Area is a 675-acre park with many activities including nature viewing, camping, fishing, paddling, horseback riding, and hiking.

Just outside of Port Byron, Dorrance Forest Preserve now offers mountain biking in addition to hiking trails.

The Hopewell Avenue Sidepath is a quiet neighborhood path that connects walkers, runners, and bikers to Hopewell Elementary School and other local paths.

This Historic Fairport Fish Hatchery site features an Interpretive Trail System & Pavillion that tell the story of freshwater mussels research, those who lived and worked at the Station, the pearl button industry, and the WWII German POW camp.

Once the site of a battle during the War of 1812, Credit Island Park is a 420 acre park in southwest Davenport located alongside the Mississippi River and is a fat biking paradise.

North Marquette Dog Park Trails boast 3 miles of singletrack trail in a 21-acre woodland right in the heart of Davenport. The Dog Park is most known for its wide array of mountain bike features, which include wooden and dirt berms, jumps for every skill level, teeter-totters, and even a wall ride.

This 435-acre former sand and gravel quarry features over 120 acres of clear water lakes. Located within the park, there is a 1.4 mile paved walking and biking trail, and a 0.6 mile primitive trail.
