The park is a reclaimed farmstead that includes wooded hillsides, a reconstructed prairie, small streams, two fishing ponds, and the Muscatine Arboretum.

The Cedar Street Sidepath offers an urban trail connection between Muscatine High School and the medical facility at Parham Street. The trail is relatively flat and connects numerous neighborhoods along the corridor.
