Users wishing to use the Green Valley Sports Complex walking path may park in either parking lot located within the park at 5910 52nd Avenue.
This 0.8 mile loop takes walkers and joggers around the eight softball diamonds of the Green Valley Sports Complex in Moline, IL. Comprised of crushed limestone, the path is suitable for pedestrian traffic only.
The Green Valley Sports Complex’s many amenities include, in addition to eight lighted softball diamonds: a playground, two concession stands, three restroom facilities, two picnic shelters, a press box, and parking. On the opposite side of 60th Street (not included in the path’s loop) are soccer fields, a paintball field, and a dog park. The Green Valley Sports Complex is also a trailhead for the 6.2 mile Kiwanis Trail that runs along the Rock River and connects to Rock Island and Milan to the west.
Rules and regulations for the Green Valley Sports Complex:
- No pets.
- No skateboards, scooters, bicycles, skates, or wheeled shoes.
- No smoking is permitted within the perimeter fencing – parking lots are designated smoking locations.
- No outside food or drink – all food and drink consumed within the fences must have been purchased from the concession stand or an on-site food vendor. Outside food may be consumed in the parking lots.
- No outside alcohol. Alcohol maybe purchased at the concession stand and must be consumed within the complex fences only. Alcohol is strictly prohibited in the parking lots and anywhere in the complex during youth tournaments.
