Description
Along this trail, outdoor enthusiasts will find Phipps Prairie Park, a beautiful natural area with nature trails, native wildflowers, a playground, shelter, picnic tables, grills, electricity, and water. It is equipped with restrooms, and is handicapped accessible. Trail users will also enjoy Sisters Park, a small neighborhood park located at 33rd Avenue and 10th Street, established by volunteers for the beautification of Silvis.
This trail also includes a fitness station nearby, which provides an outdoor circuit training experience with cardiovascular, strength training, endurance and flexibility benefits. People of all fitness levels can start with exercises shown on the instructional signage at each station, and then create more challenging workouts by varying their activities.
Other Information
This trail is part of plans to connect the growing residential, recreational, and commercial amenities with a multi-use trail network throughout the City.
Note:
- No alcohol or unleashed pets are allowed in the City Parks.
- All outside picnic areas are on a first come basis.
