Trailhead Information

The park is between Brady and Harrison Streets (Highway 61 North and South) just south of West Central Park Avenue in Davenport, Iowa. Vehicle entrances are off Central Park Avenue. Admission to the park is free.

Description

Vander Veer is a popular place for walking, both on the Grand Allee and the outside perimeter. The Grand Allee, a prominent walkway of trees and gardens leads to the popular Stone Fountain: a fountain of dancing, billowing water and changing lights. The outside perimeter walkway is busy day and night providing a 0.9 mile lap for fitness enthusiasts.

  • Park Year-round Hours: Sunrise - 30 Minutes after Sunset
  • Conservatory, Park Store, and Greenhouses:
    • Year-round Hours: 10AM - 4PM (Tues-Sun)
    • Closed on Monday
  • No admission fee

Davenport Parks and Recreation has opened a satellite customer service store at Vander Veer Botanical Park. The Vander Veer store is able to book facilities for rental or register customers for courses and answer any questions about Parks programs or facilities. Maps are available at the Park Store.
