Trailhead Information

The sidepath can be accessed at Middle Park, which is located south of Middle Road and west of 23rd Street in Bettendorf, where there is ample parking, or via connections through adjacent neighborhoods.

Description

This 3.7 mile sidepath is part of a network of multi-use trails, paths, and on-road facilities in Bettendorf, IA. It runs parallel to Middle Road and connects the Devils Glen Road Sidepath, the 53rd Avenue Sidepath, and the Hopewell Avenue Sidepath. The path is separated from the road, six to ten feet wide, and perfect for walking, biking, and running. It crosses a number of amenities including the Veterans Memorial Park and Palmer Hills Golf Course.

  • Youth Softball and Soccer Fields
  • Sand Volleyball Courts
  • Bill Bowe Bandshell Stage
  • Veterans' Memorial
  • Access to Duck Creek Recreation Trail
  • Playground Equipment
  • One large Picnic Shelter

Other Information

The following rules apply to all persons using the recreation trails within Bettendorf city limits:

  • Bicycle riders shall ride single file on the right. They shall pass only on the left and sound a warning upon approach and pass of other users of the trails. The speed limit for any recreation trail is 15 miles per hour.
  • Walkers shall walk no more than 2 abreast.
  • Dogs shall be leashed and positioned to walk on the grass.
  • No person shall stop or stand on the path to visit. Baby strollers may be parked on the area adjacent to the path.
