The Kiwanis Trail runs along shores of the Rock River. Much of the trail is shared access on quiet streets with some sections of separated trail through riverfront parks and nature preserves. These trails vary between good and rather rough surfaces.

The Hoover Nature Trail is a segment of the American Discovery Trail and is a developing trail being built along a former Rock Island and Pacific Railroad right-of-way. There are various surfaces including paved and crushed limestone. This trail will accommodate runners, walkers, and bikers at various points.

The Scott Community College trails feature a multi-use network of paths connecting the buildings and grounds of Scott Community College in Riverdale. In 2018, mountain bike trails were built north of the main campus by the local bicycle shop Healthy Habits.

The park offers a wide range of amenities besides the off road trails and is located on the Great River Trail bike path for easy car-free access.
